KLM futuristic Airplane

KLM WB-1010 promises to revolutionize flight travel in 85 years.

Designer Reindy Allendra has envisioned a brilliant new aircraft that, if proven flight-worthy, could revolutionize travel. Inspired by a blue whale, the KLM WB-1010 looks like a giant blimp with supersonic engines in the back. Capable of carrying 1500 people at a max speed of 620mph, the futuristic aircraft comes with “smart glass” windows and a helium-injected body to maintain a light weight factor.

VW Aqua Hovercraft concept

VW Aqua, great concept, if you need a hovercraft.

The Aqua Concept is a futuristic hovercraft (ACV – Air Cushion Vehicle) powered by Hydrogen and propelled by impellers. Looks great and futuristic, but something that VW will never make. The project was presented CDN  Awards and was conceived as an off-road vehicle targeted to Chinese customers.

The hovercraft was chosen for its ability to travel equally well over land, ice, and water, thus resulting quite suitable for China’s wide landform range of wetlands. Aqua features a powertrain with several engines, the main one is located under the chassis, which and is responsible for lifting the vehicle by forcing high pressure air under the craft.

IXION windowless jet

IXION windowless jet with 360 degree panoramic views and solar panels.

International agency Technicon Design has created a concept for a private jet that replaces windows with screens. Technicon Design has a lot of experience working in the commercial aviation sector.

IXION windowless jet by Technicon Design, cool-3d-concept IXION windowless jet by Technicon Design.

IXION’s windowless jet uses external cameras to capture a full 360-degree panoramic view of the exterior of the plane, which is then adjusted for perspective and displayed on the cabin’s interior display panels that cover most of the cabin. This gives the passenger the illusion of transparency, albeit a 2-dimensional one. The displays could also be customized to show any other animated wallpaper you so chose, such as a beach scene or outer space. In order to drive low voltage systems on-board, a series of amorphous solar panels are placed on the upper front half of the exterior

IXION windowless jet by Technicon Design, cool-3d-concept IXION windowless jet by Technicon Design.

"The ethos of the project is simple, to challenge current thinking, and propose something a little different, but not just a fantasy," said Technicon design director Gareth Davies. "It has to be credible and relevant, yet provoke discussion."
"We quickly settled on the controversial yet interesting idea of removing the windows from the cabin and using existing or very near future technology to display the exterior environment to the inside surfaces of the cabin via external cameras."

Dieselpunk awesome and bizarre World

Dieselpunk is a genre that combines the aesthetics of diesel-based technology influenced by the interwar period to the 1950s with futurist postmodern technology. First coined in 2001 by game designer Lewis Pollak to describe his role-playing game Children of the Sun,[4] the term has since been applied to a variety of visual art, music, motion pictures, fiction, and engineering.
Dieselpunk draws its inspiration from two related sources: the diesel era and a characteristic referred to as "decodence. The term "diesel era" is a period of time that begins with the start of the interbellum era, which covers the time between the end of World War I and the start of World War II. Dieselpunk awesome and bizarre World.

In the deep forests of remote future, other eyes would see you through the eyepieces of unsophisticated opticas. At the right moment, a rain of steel will chase you and ruin completely your armored vehicle. Maybe you have not heard the Diesel engine noise of the legged machine that is camouflaged in the dense forest.

Nose air intake feed the big turboshaft engine whose exhaust can be seen below the forward fuselage. The 7,800 shp shaft drive the rear-mounted contra-rotating propeller (100% power transmission for full speed flight), or also mid-fuselage lift fan (78% power) for vertical take-off and landing.
Like a missile, part of lift during high speed flight is created by the fuselage, and the rest by the fins. Rear upper fins are all-moving control surfaces.

Retro styled Renault 4

Retro Concepts, the New Renault 4 by designer David Obendorfer.

About the original car:

The Renault 4, also known as the 4L (pronounced "Quatrelle"), is a hatchback economy car produced by the French automaker Renault between 1961 and 1992. It was the first front-wheel drive family car produced by Renault.

Renault 4 was Renault's response to the 1948 Citroën 2CV. Renault was able to review the advantages and disadvantages of the 2CV design and come up with a larger, more urban vehicle.

Concept:

The result is a combination of modern lines and the classic’s features, coming together in such a way that none of the original’s smallness and cuteness is lost. It shows us how a car can be both simple in design, practical and incredibly charismatic. Something modern cars do not exhibit often anymore.

Retro styled Renault 4 Retro styled Renault 4

It’s a modern design with retro-styling cues, perhaps designed to be built on an existing architecture. And like most new cars today, the Revival has been designed with alternative power plants – such as hybrid and all-electric ones – in mind.

V+ Volteis electric car

Legendary designer puts his stamp on an electric car

Electric car concept developed by French designer Philippe Starck in collaboration with Volteis, a French electric vehicle manufacturer.

Minimalistic design philosophy this 1600-pound car is composed almost entirely of aluminum, with a  full windshield, fabric roof, and no doors. A wicker dashboard and storage unit are complemented by seat frames created by Dedon outdoor furniture producers.

cool-3d-concept-volteis, Philippe-Starck V+ Volteis V+ Volteis electric car

Starck designed the ‘V+ volteis’ in response to his dissatisfaction with the current
state of automotives: ‘they’re noisy, dirty, anti-social, masochistic; and they bring out the worst in people.’

cool-3d-concept-volteis, Philippe-Starck V+ Volteis V+ Volteis electric car

A 4kW engine with 11.5kWh battery pack drives power to the craft, with a maximum speed of 40mph and a single-charge range of 37 miles. Trailing-arm rear suspension and disc brakes for smoother acceleration and safe breaking.
The battery achieves 50% capacity in two hours from a standard 220 V power source, and six hours to full.

BMW CS Vintage Concept

Project by car designer David Obendorfer.

This project is a modern interpretation of the 1968 BMW E9 series designed by Giovanni Michelotti. In fact, it focuses on two models: Michelotti’s E9 and its predecessor, the 1965 BMW 2000 CS (E120 series).

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, 1968 BMW E9

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

Back then the 2000 CS used to be fairly successful thanks to its sleek line, brilliant performance and good build quality, so BMW decided to upgrade the model by setting up a new generation of straight-six engines, redesigning the interior, and the only part of the coupé that had raised concerns: the front. The new front end, by Giovanni Michelotti, gave considerable impetus to the whole car body. The designer from Turin eliminated the large rectangular headlights in favour of an arrow-shaped front with a large matte black mask and four round headlights.

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

The operation is very similar to the mid-generational refresh applied today by all car manufacturers to keep the product competitive and attractive to customers without making expensive technical amendments. Yet the transition between the E120 and E9 was particularly important for BMW because the new front gave the car a strong stylistic identity with a recognizable personality. The design with the four round headlights has proved to be a winning style pattern that BMW has been carrying on for over 35 years evolving and proposing it on all its models.

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

The BMW CS Vintage Concept is based on the 6 series platform (in production since 2011). The style, despite numerous citations from the past, is substantially contemporaneous with updated proportions and with modern details, many of which are inspired by nautical styling solutions.

Sketch Book Daniel Simon

Awesome concepts drawings based on 3d models

Sketch Book  - Daniel Simon

Everything I do, starts and ends with a drawing. Between that, there are many weeks and months of digital 3D modeling. My first sketches are extremely loose and serve often only to get me and the client on the same page. In my workflow, 3D kicks in at an unusually early stage to confirm volume ideas and proportion from all angles. Most drawings you see here are from the final stage of a project, based on my own 3D data. These drawings take considerable time to finish. Their purpose is to massage the digital design with a touch of manual line work and to lock in the overall feel weeks before my 3D model could reach that detailed stage—adding radii, part lines, and other features. It is a preview of a finished model in a neutral setting, without the distraction of color, surface finish, environment, and visual decoration.

Phantom Corsair 1938

Amazing car that was never put into production.

The Phantom Corsair is a prototype automobile built in 1938. It is a six-passenger 2-door sedan that was designed by Rust Heinz of the H. J. Heinz family and Maurice Schwartz of the Bohman & Schwartz coach building company in Pasadena, California. Although sometimes dismissed as a failure because it never entered production, the Corsair is regarded as anachronistic due to its futuristic features and styling cues such as faired-in fenders and a low profile

Phantom Corsair 1938, Photo Phantom Corsair 1938, Photo

Design

The Phantom Corsair's steel-and-aluminum body measured just 57 in (140 cm) in height and incorporated fully skirted wheels and completely flush fenders while forgoing running boards.[4] The car also lacked door handles, as the doors were instead opened electrically using push-buttons located on the exterior and the instrument panel. The instrument panel also featured a compass and altimeter, while a separate console above the windshield indicated when a door was ajar or if the car's lights or radio were turned on.
