Milky PinUps

No 3d, just milk, high speed photography and bit of Photoshop.

AurumLight Studio, a London-based conceptual photography business, is making a splash with its fresh take on old pin-up photos. Pouring milk on models.

Milky PinUps, Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz

Photographer Jaroslav Wieczorkiewicz, has created a 12 month calendar inspired by 1940′s pin-ups but has added a twist!

Each girl in the calendar isn’t wearing real clothing, but MILK.

Wieczorkiewicz used high-speed cameras to capture milk as it was poured on each model’s body to create the illusion of clothing. Over 200 frames are used to complete each image!

Jaroslav is a Polish photographer that hails from London. He has a Fine Arts background with a degree is Architecture–which taught him how to solve lots of complex problems. That problem solving helped with the founding of this studio: AurumLight. The studio specializes in limited calendars, advertising, and conceptual photography; and they’ve had many campaigns in Europe and the US.
So when we found Jaroslav’s Milk PinUps, we were very intrigued as to how they were done.

The style and look of the photography brings you back to the pin-ups that proliferated in
mid last century, with such iconic stars like of Marylin Monroe, Betty Grable, Jane Russell, Rita Hayworth and countless other timeless beauties.

Milky Pinups, aims at replicating those popular pin-ups of that bygone era, and does so quite convincingly, adding an original element through milk in place of clothes.

iHome concept

Apple iHome concept by designer Martin Hajek shows us what Apple’s home automation device might look like, if it ever came to real life.

Device takes its design cues from the iPhone 5s. Touch ID fingerprint scanner, looks like a square version of Apple’s iPhone 5s.

Designer's effort is appreciated, but unfortunately Martin completely failed this time. Not everything Apple makes, has to look like iPhone 5s. Ear speaker just bellow camera has no purpose at all. How about camera? What is the purpose,  it really makes no sense at all.

Dieselpunk awesome and bizarre World

Dieselpunk is a genre that combines the aesthetics of diesel-based technology influenced by the interwar period to the 1950s with futurist postmodern technology. First coined in 2001 by game designer Lewis Pollak to describe his role-playing game Children of the Sun,[4] the term has since been applied to a variety of visual art, music, motion pictures, fiction, and engineering.
Dieselpunk draws its inspiration from two related sources: the diesel era and a characteristic referred to as "decodence. The term "diesel era" is a period of time that begins with the start of the interbellum era, which covers the time between the end of World War I and the start of World War II. Dieselpunk awesome and bizarre World.

In the deep forests of remote future, other eyes would see you through the eyepieces of unsophisticated opticas. At the right moment, a rain of steel will chase you and ruin completely your armored vehicle. Maybe you have not heard the Diesel engine noise of the legged machine that is camouflaged in the dense forest.

Like a missile, part of lift during high speed flight is created by the fuselage, and the rest by the fins. Rear upper fins are all-moving control surfaces.

White House 3d model

White House 3d model by 3d Artist André Cantarel.

Absolutely amazing detailing and quality! We can’t believe one person is doing all the work. Secret Service can’t be too pleased with such detailed and accurate model of the White House.

White-House, cool-3d-concepts, André-Cantarel White House 3d model by André Cantarel

Description:

A very detailed and accurate model of the White House residence. An insane amount of time went into research as a lot of areas aren’t accessible to the public and therefore information is hard to come by. I just became interested in the architecture due to previous movie work featuring this building. The East- and West-Wing will follow when I have the time for it - and patience. Actual renderings of the White House in an environment will follow. Right now the actual renderings only show the asset by itself.

He is a self-taught 3D artist. I started working on games when I was around 12 or 13 years old by modding LucasArts titles like Star Wars: Dark Forces and Jedi Knight. The ‘breakthrough’ in his career came around this time, when he realized he enjoyed making games more than playing them.

iWatch Concept by Todd Hamilton

Artist imagine what Apple’s iWatch could look like.

A designer named Todd Hamilton took a stab not only at what the still-speculative watch might look like, but how it might actually work to make calls.

The concept basically imagines the iWatch with vertical controls, something that Hamilton believes “Apple would actually produce.

cool-3d-concept-iWatch
Lock screen with Siri access

He wanted to retain a slim form factor like the Fuelband and incorporate familiar UI components from iOS 7. It needed to feel natural on the wrist.

The concept shows a black and white lock screen, displaying the time, date, and a button to activate Siri. The springboard features four app icons with a page controller on the right. A press of the home button brings the user back to the lock screen.

Very nice concept by designer Todd Hamilton, but…. We really don’t like the idea of “smart watch” in general. Until someone comes up with technology that doesn’t require constant charging - we are not interested.

Retro styled Renault 4

Retro Concepts, the New Renault 4 by designer David Obendorfer.

About the original car:

The Renault 4, also known as the 4L (pronounced "Quatrelle"), is a hatchback economy car produced by the French automaker Renault between 1961 and 1992. It was the first front-wheel drive family car produced by Renault.

Renault 4 was Renault's response to the 1948 Citroën 2CV. Renault was able to review the advantages and disadvantages of the 2CV design and come up with a larger, more urban vehicle.

Concept:

The result is a combination of modern lines and the classic’s features, coming together in such a way that none of the original’s smallness and cuteness is lost. It shows us how a car can be both simple in design, practical and incredibly charismatic. Something modern cars do not exhibit often anymore.

Retro styled Renault 4 Retro styled Renault 4

It’s a modern design with retro-styling cues, perhaps designed to be built on an existing architecture. And like most new cars today, the Revival has been designed with alternative power plants – such as hybrid and all-electric ones – in mind.

V+ Volteis electric car

Legendary designer puts his stamp on an electric car

Electric car concept developed by French designer Philippe Starck in collaboration with Volteis, a French electric vehicle manufacturer.

Starck designed the ‘V+ volteis’ in response to his dissatisfaction with the current
state of automotives: ‘they’re noisy, dirty, anti-social, masochistic; and they bring out the worst in people.’

BMW CS Vintage Concept

Project by car designer David Obendorfer.

This project is a modern interpretation of the 1968 BMW E9 series designed by Giovanni Michelotti. In fact, it focuses on two models: Michelotti’s E9 and its predecessor, the 1965 BMW 2000 CS (E120 series).

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, 1968 BMW E9

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

Back then the 2000 CS used to be fairly successful thanks to its sleek line, brilliant performance and good build quality, so BMW decided to upgrade the model by setting up a new generation of straight-six engines, redesigning the interior, and the only part of the coupé that had raised concerns: the front. The new front end, by Giovanni Michelotti, gave considerable impetus to the whole car body. The designer from Turin eliminated the large rectangular headlights in favour of an arrow-shaped front with a large matte black mask and four round headlights.

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

The operation is very similar to the mid-generational refresh applied today by all car manufacturers to keep the product competitive and attractive to customers without making expensive technical amendments. Yet the transition between the E120 and E9 was particularly important for BMW because the new front gave the car a strong stylistic identity with a recognizable personality. The design with the four round headlights has proved to be a winning style pattern that BMW has been carrying on for over 35 years evolving and proposing it on all its models.

cool-3d-concept-BMW-CS, David-Obendorfer, auto, vintage, 3d, BMW CS Vintage Concept by David Obendorfer

The BMW CS Vintage Concept is based on the 6 series platform (in production since 2011). The style, despite numerous citations from the past, is substantially contemporaneous with updated proportions and with modern details, many of which are inspired by nautical styling solutions.

Smarty Ring offers incoming & outgoing call notifications, alerts for message and social media updates. It's able to control and track your smartphone. It can make, accept and reject calls, trigger the camera, control music and change your profile. The ring can send alerts to your phone, or beep when your handset is more than 30 meters away from you. Also in the works is a dedicated app that allows you to change Smarty Ring's profile, set the time zones and clock, adjust LED brightness and beeper volume, and assign buttons to control speed dials.

Smarty Ring's Indiegogo fundraiser launched last month, and so far has amassed more than four times the original goal of $40 000. The interest in a such gadgets is obviously there, which means major technological manufacturers are probably concocting their own smart-jewelry right now. But can the Smarty Ring really move from concept to reality? The team behind the project allegedly spent 8 months on technical research to finalize a feasible prototype model and confirm the possibilities of manufacturing the necessary components. In their words, they are all set to go.
