Cool Salt and Pepper Shaker

No it’s not a battery.


The pair of batteries you see below are not batteries. They are salt and pepper shakers designed by Turkish designer Mehmet Gozetlik.

These stainless steel and glass shakers are available in colors of Red & Turquoise or Black & White. The power indicators on the sides correlate to the amount of spices left in the shakers.

Sora Electric Super Bike

Zero emission electric superbike.


The Sora is an electric motorcycle concept by Quebec-based company Lito Green Motion. Its design is a combination of bobber and café racer/street bikes in one innovative zero-emission electric superbike. After years of development, Lito Green Motion has finally been certified by the Canadian Ministry of Transport as a motorcycle manufacturer.

Driven by a liquid-cooled 3-phase AC induction motor and deriving power from 12 kWh lithium-polymer battery modules, the Sora has a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph) and produces 90 Nm (66.37 ft-lb) from the get go.

The Window Socket is very simple idea. Designed by Kyuho Song & Boa Oh, the charger sticks to a window and draws solar power to an internal battery, which enables one to either plug small devices into the outlet right there and then, or save the stored power for use during nighttime hours.

At present, the Window Socket is still a concept, but in the near future the designers hope to increase its efficiency, energy storage and charge time. The battery on the Window Socket is very small; at 1000mAh the stored power might be about enough to charge a mobile phone
